SIZING GUIDE
Christina Rohde
Christina Rohde use’s an age sizing system - 1,2,3,4,6,8 (no size 5 or 7). In most cases this size system is true to size and does not come up larger than average as with many Scandinavian labels. However, in a handful of cases particularly with tops the sizing is very small. To help identify the correct size we have added an age guide in brackets next to the size. So e.g where the sizing is true to size it will show as Size 1 (1-2y) and where it comes up small it will show as Size 1 (6-12m).
Mini A Ture
Mini A Ture use an age and a cm sizing system. The baby sizes tend to come up big whereas the sizes for children (age 2+) are more true to size. Often the children’s styles are supposed to be fitted so in some cases it’s worth buying a size up if you prefer a looser fit. We have made a note of this in individual descriptions where it is worth considering. We have put the age range in the sizing guide so Size 2 is 2-3y (92cm). The sizes are as follows – 0-2m (56cm), 2-4m (62cm), 4-6m (68cm), 6-9m (74cm), 9-12m (80cm), 12-18m (86cm), 2y (92cm), 3y (98cm), 4y (104cm), 5y (110cm), 6y (116cm), 7y (122cm), 8y (128cm). In some cases such as hats and tights a dual age system is used.
Moonkids:
Moonkids use the cm sizing system and a dual sizes so if your child is at the younger end of the age range then the clothes may be a little big. I have listed the sizes by age on the site using the following: 50/56cm (0-2m), 62/68cm (2-6m), 74/80 (6-12m), 86/92cm (1-2y), 98/104cm (2-4y), 110/116cm (4-6y), 122/128cm (6-8y).
Nanoou
Nanoou also use the cm sizing system. The clothes tend to be on the roomy side. The fabric they use is often stretchy so a smaller size does allow for growth and movement. I have grouped the ages using the following: 50cm (0-1m), 56cm (1-2m), 62cm (2-4m), 68cm (4-6m), 74cm (6-9m), 80cm (9-12m), 86cm (12-24m), 92cm (2-3y), 98cm (3-4y), 104cm (4-5y), 110cm (5-6y), 116cm (6-7y), 122cm (7-8y), 128cm (8-9y).
Gangstar
Gangstar use an age system, which starts a 0 and goes up to age 6. The sizes they use are 0m, 6m, 1y, 2y, 3y, 4y, 5y, 6y. The sizes are slightly smaller than most Scandinavian brands, but still true to size for UK children.
Freoli
The Freoli clothes generally come up big. This is less obvious for the older ages (6 & 8), but the baby sizes are really big for an average UK baby. The sizes they use are 3-6m, 6-9m, 9-12m, 12-18m, 2y, 3y, 4y, 6y, 8y. There are also individual items such as tights or hats where dual age sizes are used. In some cases (for some of the boy’s t-shirts) the size 3 is really big, so I have listed it in the drop down menus as a dual size. I have also made a note in the individual descriptions where you may want to consider buying a size up or down depending on the size of your child.
Mio my Mio
Mio my Mio use a cm and age system. Their sizes are pretty accurate for an average UK baby or child, so you shouldn’t have to go outside the normal age range. They start at 3m (62cm). The sizes they use are as follows: 62cm (3m), 68cm (6m), 74cm (9m), 80cm (1y), 86cm (1.5y), 92cm (2y), 98cm (3y), 104cm (4y), 116cm (5y), 122cm (6y), 128cm (8y).
